  • Trained with Marta and Béla Károlyi.

  • Placed second in the all-around and won the balance beam title at the 1990 U.S. Nationals

  • Won silver medal with the American team at the Goodwill Games and finished fourth in the all-around and uneven bars finals.

  • Won a silver medal with the US team and a bronze on the balance beam at the 1991 World Gymnastics Championships

  • Won the 1991 American Cup. 

  • Won Olympic bronze medal with 1992 US team

Chris Young

 

 

  • In 1997 Chris became a National Team member, going on to compete for the USA Men’s National Team in the Pan-American Games where the team won the Silver Medal. Next, Chris earned a spot on the 1999 World Championship Team that took 6th in the world, helping the USA to qualify for the 2000 Olympic Games. Since then, Chris has returned to his home town to coach at the very gym his career began. There he hopes to continue to spread the joys of gymnastics and encourage the youth in the community!

Justin Green

 

 

  • Louisville Native Justin Green achieved the pinnacle of success in the NFL winning a SUPER BOWL ring under the legendary Bill Belichick with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in 2015. Justin's workman/even keel approach to the game has spawned UNDERDOG TRAINING, his ‘nursery’ for young and upcoming talent. Justin, having experienced each level of the game, wants to continue the mission by passing on the knowledge he has learned from some of the best in the business to anyone willing to take a chance on THEMSELVES.

Oleksii Koltakov

 

  • In addition to coaching, Koltakov has performed as an artistic acrobat as part of Cirque du Soleil throughout North America. 
    A former member of the Ukraine National Team, Koltakov competed at the 2009 European Championships in Milano, Italy as well as the 2009 World Cup in Ostrava, Czech Republic, where the Ukraine was a finalist. He also helped lead the Ukraine to the finals of the 2011 World Cup  in Stuttgart, Germany. 

  • He was a five-time Ukrainian Pommel Horse Champion from 2008-12 and the Ukrainian Floor Exercise Champion in 2011. He led his team to the Ukrainian Championship in both 2009 and 2011.

  • A two-time graduate of the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine, he earned his bachelor’s degree in coaching and physical education in 2009 and a master’s degree biomechanics of sport specializing in Olympic and professional sports.

  • Koltakov is married to British Olympic gymnast Marissa King. In addition to representing Great Britain at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, King also competed at the 2007 and 2009 World Championships. An 11-time All-American, King won the 2011 NCAA Vault Champion

  • Competed in his first World Championship in 1997 at the age of 17, where he placed 5th with team USA and 22nd in the all-around

  • Finished second in the 2003 US national championships 

  • Won a silver medal with his team in the 2003 World Championships and finished 8th and 7th respectively in the all-around final and still rings final

  • Won a silver medal with the 2004 US Men's Olympic team and scored 9.825 on his parallel bars routine, the highest score of the day on that apparatus

  • Former IFBB professional fitness competitor, taking home several titles.

  • She competed gymnastics in her youth, through level 10. And formerly coached level 10 with Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy. 

  • Catch her as a mentor on Nastia Liukin's Grander app. As well, as personal nutritionists to Laurie Hernandez.
